      i hate apex springs.......

it may be that the struts have 76000 miles on them, but i swear i drove over a speed bump on my way into home depot, and felt the struts go. i know i blew a strut after lowering the car, the same day i installed the Apex springs. i was also told by kinky that they were new, and when i pulled them outta the box, they were chipped and scuffed with blue paint as if they were used. anyone else have this problem with Apex springs?

did you check the struts/shocks when you installed the springs? My front right strut couldn't even hold itself up after 10,000 miles.

i am thinking its not the springs fault. stock struts are just not meant to work with lowering springs.

yeah, i checked everything before the install. no oil or anything out of the norm on the sturts. i know because i remember seeing ALOT of dirt and dust, all dry, because i never washed out my wheel wells. the real pain in the ass, is the only struts anyone carries are for the rear. had to go to a junkyard and get second hand struts for the front with anonymous miles on them.

You shouldnt get second hand struts. Should buy new one. they are not very expensive.

Stock strut is too soft. After market shock sbsorber is available also. At lease in my country. Abt $400 plus or $500 plus I cannot remember for all 4 pieces.

Lol.. I have apex springs that were cut and have been on the car for 3 years. Car probly had around 40000 km's when I 1st dropped it.

It now has over 116 000 km's and it still has the stock shocks/struts

and rides just as bad as when you put them on, right? not dissing, it's the car... that and I live in vegas where 45mph speed limits and constant road construction is quite hard on struts.

if you see dry oiled dirt... looks like brake fluid was sprayed, then covered with road/brake dust? thats the oil from your struts. Seriously, it's not the springs... well maybe, but the struts are shot too. When they are off the car, how hard is it to push in or pull out?

i cant complain about the ride. the car actually rides really nice when its dropped. my issue is with how soft Apex springs are, and how ****ty our stock struts are. are there even aftermarket struts avaliable yet?
