Loud clunking in front end

Hi guys, new to the site. We own an '06 aveo hatchbabk ls. I am stumped at this time i can't figure out what is making a loud clunking noise when going over any bumps. It sounds like the front end is going to fall off. I replaced both lower control arms complete with no luck! I have shook the front end down and also visibly inspected it. There is nothing obvious. Have these cars been known to have bad struts? Strut mounts? If i push down on the car while it's sitting parked i hear nothing but when i drive it and go over bumps it sounds like something is broke. Any and all help/suggestions are appreciated. there are a few threads addressing the sway bar bushing, and the sway bar end links..
they are described pretty much the same way.

Mine ended up being sway bar endlinks. remove either the top or bottom nut, one from left(driver side) and one from right (passenger side) see how easy the bolt portion (aka ball joint) moves, if it moves freely, you should replace it
