Thanks. you said your going to lower 2 inches. Are you going with H&R springs or coils? If you run these wheels you should be good in the front and if you you do a mild spacein the rear you will be good. Are you going to get these wheels in black or a different color? Did you get those snowflack wheels to work for you?

Yes, the snowflakes worked great. I'll probably get the wheels I posted in matte black finish. As for my drop I really need to be able to raise it back up to almost stock height for winter, so I'll probably be using a set of vw mk2 coilovers from RaceLand or Rokkor. They generally run for about $400 USD for a full adjustable set.

If it helps at all, I'm running a 16 inch by 7.5 wide rim with an offset of et37.. The rim sits pretty flush with the fender and the only problem I have is with the tire rubbing the plastic behind the fender a little. I have 205/45's. Any more then 37 and I'd be afraid for my fenders. I'm lowered on h&r's.

If you look at my gold drag (work replica) wheels, the fronts were 35mm offset in front after adding the 5mm spacer. I recommend the 195 tire with it, I am low enough that I needed a 45 series tire. But they didn't rub except on hard turns with a "bounce"

Is the standard aveo offset like 40 or 45?

I have a 37 offset on H&R's with a 16x7.5 inch rim, 45 series tire. Wrapped in 205's the fronts sit nearly flush with the fender with no rub whatsoever.
