Were you able to get the propane hose to the throttle body ( both sides ) ?

Is there a setscrew to mechanically set / adjust the idle speed ? What RPM is the engine idling ?

Does your scanner show detailed engine data ? Like the desired engine speed ? Percentage the IAC is operating at ?

My understanding any pirate air from the MAF downstream will mess with the computer ?

You might start at the air cleaner box and work your way towards the intake manifold . Checking the hose clamps and fasteners .

Yes.. but I'll try it once more this evening for sanity sake. To my understanding the idle is set by the engine's computer. There is a screw there. I am using an Android app called Torq. I'm not sure if it does such readings but I will look into it. If anyone knows please let me know. When the tech was working on the brakes he thought maybe the engine was idling too low and asked if I wanted him to adjust the screw to pick up the idle. I told him no to just leave it as it is. I may bring the car into the dealership. It's a long shot but maybe its the new throttle body? I do have the freeze frame of when the this code came up. I'll post it on here in a bit.

I would try adjusting the idle screw , myself , were it me .

What does the tach show it is idling at ? Seem to remember our Sonic idles around 700 - 800 rpm ?

I have one of the little blue dongles that plugs into the OBDII port & Torque on my Android phone .

I may check to see what kind of real time data I can discover . Do you have Torque Pro ?

I sure do! I liked it so much I got the Pro version. Here is snap shot of what the car was doing when the code came up. I had to do 2 screenshots since the freeze frame was long.

I did forget to mention that I also did a valve cover job on Saturday. It was seeping oil and there was some oil in the spark plug well but just a little bit. Oil looked good. Didn't look creamy or anything and no signs of water in it. So I replaced the gasket and I even put in a new PCV valve. The original one rattled when I shooked it. I think it was working just fine but for $6 why not just replace it since I'm in there. I reattached the hoses and replaced the one going to the PCV valve as well. Torqued everything up to 89 inch pounds. Done and done.. Yay! This is the second time I done this. I have 2008 Dodge Caliber I had to do a valve cover job for three months ago. I have to say, it was easier to work on the Aveo than the Caliber lol..

Shows engine RPM 713 which sounds about right . Engine load almost 50% . Not sure what that is about ?

Have to do some more thinking ........

Another thought... I think my a/c maybe low in Freon because the compressor keeps clicking on and off. Sometimes it stays on and keeps running with no problem. But when you first start the car I can hear the compressor clicking on and off every 2 or 3 seconds and the engine trying to compensate for the load. It seems like the engine struggles to compensate for it. You think that might causes this 48% load that it is showing? The a/c was one when the code popped up.

I checker the RPM of the Sonic . It is in the 700's .

Looked at some other data , but will have to study it to try to make some sense of it .

Do you have a set of gauges to check the A/C ? The A/C could account for some load . Did you say it was a manual or automatic tranny ?

Does the A/C perform well ? At the age of the car , it could need some refrigerant , but best to put gauges on it .

Here is a report Torque Generated , do not know what it will help or not ?
