Is it ok to "soften" by decreasing shock pressure?

I've always wanted a softer ride, I'm no speeder anyway, besides my LS is an A/T, not the best choice to burn rubber. Any tips about it? Thanks.

lmao the stock ride is pretty good, changing from stock rims/tires (to a light 15" or 16") make a big difference

Thanks, I know a place where they "revive" worn out shocks by punching a hole and recharging the gas, i thought i'd do the same but in my case, to actually decrease it.

I wouldn't do this. Stock height on the aveo is teetery as it is, making the shocks softer without lessening the springs to match would be equivilant of a lift kit and leave you unstable on the highway.

that's not what we meant. We mean scrap the shocks/springs and put on an aftermarket airbag suspension.
The hissing sound is air going in/out of the airbags.

Oh i see, lol... The only thing is, we have limited after market kits from where i'm at... i guess i'll just have to settle for stocks from my dealer then...

By the way, how about the other way? Instead of dealing with the shocks, would cutting the coils (about 1 to 1 1/2 circles) compensate for it? That would also mean a few inches of drop.

      Thanks.

cutting the coils is a cheap mod ricers use to cheaply lower their cars. I advise against it and spring the cash for some actual lowering springs.

I see. So I guess i'll go for the replacement then rather than cutting the coils or recharging the shocks. Thanks.
