Painted Rims
I wasn't too keen on the stock rims with their sparkle-coat, so I decided to paint them black!
Took a $5 bottle of Rust-Oleum and a few hours of sanding and painting.

Don't worry, there were jack stands under the front.
Attachment 5931
Sanded, cleaned with Acetone, then sprayed 3 coats.

Did a quick spray inside as well to make sure it looked nice.

Let them dry about an hour and put them back on. Let them sit for a few more hours before driving.

Thanks. I got new tires on the front. The people at the place scratched them a tad. I won't say where but it isn't wheel silo...
-
looks good i love the oem wheels painted. id paint the calipers and drums red or white but that's just my opinion.

Yeah that will come when it gets warmer outside. Yesterday I had a little adventure with my dad. I visited for Thanksgiving and needed new break pads, oil change, and air in tires. We drained the fluids and he was working on the breaks while I was changing the oil filter and putting oil back in and checking other things while we were at it. Well, I take the car out when it was all done and it won't shift and feels like there's no power from the engine. I look back and see smoke DUMPING out of the exhaust. Turns out there's a drain on the transmission too, and it was as dark as used oil, and I had put 4 extra quarts of oil into the tank and it overflowed when the car turned on. Luckily, only about 2 quarts of transmission fluid drained out so we drained the oil this time and bought more fluids and engine cleaner and now everything's fine. He says he's never done that before cuz he's never seen a drain on transmission before.

Haha, a couple people on here have done the same thing iirc. You wouldn't have that problem if you had a manual :P
-
thats the easiest way to do an engine oil flush. add a quart of trans fluid to the engine run it for 15 to 20 then drain oil and filter
-
Considered a manual but I have to use my car for work and with what I do that wouldn't have been practical...
-
what kind of work do you do?
-
I'm a case manager at a mental health facility. I have to transport clients a lot and take phone calls while driving.
-
wow wasnt expecting that. Interesting work

I customized my grill for $10. Bought the red badge off eBay for $7, glue for $3, zip-ties I already had.
I removed my grill assembly, took the extra stuff off, cleaned it up, placed the zip-ties, glued the badge to the ties, TA-DA!
