my name is stergios and sorry for my english
my problem is abs
i have a chevrolet aveo 2006
when i push brake abs seems very ineffective
the car dont stop,i push it hard when i m going with 30klm and it push my leg behind
the noise hearing like this <<trr,trr.trr.trr.trr>>and its very loud and as i said the car dont stop, just goes on and this is very risk
but at the large speeds (100-120klm) it is warking good,the car stop good
i talk to 3 workshop and they cand find the error
is anybody know a way to fix it or to replace it ?

also i have to refer that i have very good tires and new brakes

abs doesn't make the car stop better, it only keeps the car from going into a slide from locking the brakes.

what kind of brake pads did you buy? you might have chosen something that needs "warmed up" to be effective.

thanks rabbit for answer i have toyo, brakes i dont know but i have drive other cars with abs and i think i know how works .my car seems to have problem.

no i had the problem from the biggining from the first days

On the issue of stopping distance: do you have access to another similar weight vehicle (also with ABS) that you can compare it to, to see if the stopping distance is actually worse?

no my friend i have not drive similar car to make the compare and now you saying this i remember that one day i was talking with a friend owned a suzuki swift 2007 ,he have the same problem but when he change brake pads the problem disappear for 2-3 months.i wonder if the aveo owners are contentedly from their abs in low speeds.

try pulling your abs fuse and see if it "improves" your braking. My aveo does not have abs.
