the dealership i bought my car from doesn't give alignments as warranty? neither did any of the dealers i have worked at in the past.

should i feel ripped off? of course pa has potholes everywhere, and that is not the manufacturers fault.

      Re: Riding a lil rough?

Having 17" wheels will definitely make the ride "harder", even more if its lowered (specially like mine, a good 3" drop) Luckily i get a break during winter with the 14" winter grips on, softens the ride almost back to stock, but nothing beats taking a nice curve way over the speed limit (the curve's speed limit of course) during a hot summer day when you dont even have to worry if the car will stay on the road heheh, these cars handle very well with a harder suspension and performance tires and wheels. My steering also "shakes" when i have the 17's on but imo thats more related to the wheel balancing then your alignment as with the winter tires it doesnt shake. The steering doesnt shake when i have a brand new set of tires on the 17" rims, it starts to shake once they reach roughly 75% of their thread life (25% thread left), cause the wheels start to get unbalanced.

But like any performance addon, you need to sacrifice functionnality or comfort, yes it handles like a dream but the comfort side tends to suck, specially with those potholes.

PS: Aveo_Tuner, you might wanna change your signature bro, as I will have the fastest Aveo in Ontario shortly with that 2.0 swap :P (maybe even in Canada heh )

Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, rather than drive a fast car slow!

you know wheel balancing is suggested to be checked every 10000 miles at least? no one tells you that, and no one does it. but your tires start shaking at 75% tread life. then you should get them rebalanced. unless you have camber issue and uneven wear, but some places offer free lifetime (of the tire) balancing and you would see the 75%-50% span of your tire life last a lot longer.
