WOW...both are very nice rim choices, it's going to be a tough decision.
I'm happy with mine, but everyday see a set of rims that look sharp, maybe we could all work out a seasonal trade agreement? LOL

hahaha sounds good to me!
i like them both, the only thing is the ones from wheel max are heavier.... not sure the weight but im guessing about 21-22 lbs. where as the ones from tire rack are only 15lbs.
I am going turbo, so i dont think the weight will really matter.
But i was thinking the heavier rim will prevent wheel hope more than the light ones? I have no idea.... maybe someone knows if thats true?

both look cool but I like the ones from wheelmax, the exels.

This might help you too steve http://www.wheelweights.net
I know my stock wheel and tire combo is 34lbs +/- tread of course.
my new wheels weighed 15lbs. not sure with rubber..I'll check when I swap for winter driving...

too bad they dont have the exel's listed on that site...
i found somewhere else that had two exel 17" rims and they were both 20.8 lbs.
so i was probably right in guessing they are 21-22 lbs.
now i just gotta decide... lighter or heavier....

To be honest, the 2nd pic looks really amazingly "bland", or "seen it already".
The first one is a little better, but note the "little", it's kinda bad looking IMO, but at least it looks better. I like how the center of the 1st one rounds out as it spreads to the spokes.
I'd pick the 1st one, and stay completely clear of the 2nd.
BTW, in all honestly, wheel weight does not really matter much if you do something like drag racing. If you do it on a race track, it still doesn't matter UNLESS you're doing 70-90mph around a corner (like a real race car). For an Aveo, even with a turbo, it still wouldn't really affect you, since such speeds are virtually impossible for such a car.

id go with the exels, personally i think they have a sort of euro look to them and i favor that over the other ones. just my opinion.

Always have loved the styling of the first one... Second is meh, don't like rims with even numbered spokes... The first rule of art is stick with odd numbers of anything...

I'd go lighter, you may not notice a difference on a turbo'd car as far as straight line perfromance goes but lighter wheels make a huge difference on brake fade as well as a noticable difference on braking distances, and slightly on handling (more so the characteristics than being faster). Also lighter wheels will have a better influence on ride quality.
Only thing is $180 a wheel is a bit expensive for those. I don't know if those are some newer Kosei wheels I'm unfamiliar with but all of theres in the past have been really cheap and some of the lighter wheels (usually lighter than the newer rotas). 15lbs seams a bit on the optamistic side. Though if those are really 15lbs then that price is pretty damn good and I'd go with the Koseis
