shocks affect suspension travel and dampening (dampen the movement of the springs _after_ you hit a bump)
GR2s are an aftermarket OE style replacement. They will have slightly more aggressive valving, though.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
This is my daily driver, I do like a sporty feel, but not like I am driving a brick.
I don't want the suspension to be uncomfortably stiff, but I do want it to be sporty.
Am I making sence?
Springs will have a greater affect on the "stiffness" of the suspension than shocks/struts will. Shocks/struts keep the springs from bouncing repeatedly after a bump and push the wheel out over uneven ground (to keep the tire in contact with the ground).
GR2s are by no means a drastic change, but will be a good one. I am running them on my jetta now with stock springs. It's comfy.

Thanks for the input
The only reason there is no GR2 struts yet probly is because KYB found rear shocks that fits on another car so they are using those. Maybe i am wrong but to me looks like something like that.

So, I would like to go back to the beginning of this topic. I also have a squeaky sound in the back of my car when I go over bumps and when someone sits in the back. Car is fully functional, official annual check says so. So is there a way to stop this sound: grease, oil, WD40 and where? Does that sound mean that I have to replace some parts?
