The tires have been rebalanced after the shaking started? Have you hit anything that might cause damage to the wheels or steering?

Yes they were balanced after I noticed the shaking and yes I might of hit a rock or so I live on a dirt road i was thinking that it might have something to do with the steering column

      Hello Jwurth,

Is your vehicle under warranty still? For your safety, I would suggest taking your car into a Chevy dealership to have this issue diagnosed. Please keep me posted on how it goes. Thank you.

My guess is you might have bent something which is causing the problem. You'll either have to get under the car to inspect things (look at each side and see what might be damaged), or take it in to a shop to have them do the same thing. It could be a bent wheel, or something on the underside of the vehicle.

I had bad shaking and it got worse while turning either left or right. Ended up being both front wheel bearings were shot

      Could be:

      Damaged tire or wheel
      Bad wheel bearings
      Bad cv axles
      Bad lower ball joints(less likely)
      Bad steering link ends(less likely)

      Basically any front suspension part.

Most likely is not the column. It is a major safety issue though, get it fixed asap without driving too much.
