With all the focus on lowering and low profile tires, this question is kind of refreshing! I always thought that some cars actually look good jacked up with bigger meats on them (usually toyotas and subarus), maybe the aveo can pull it off too.
Well I would love to see someone try it

I have a set of falcon RT-615 195/60/14's which are a little taller and a little wider. Even with the H&R's they don't rub. As for traction they have a fair amount of grip as any tire review site will show. Breaking traction? I do that daily, but mostly because the roads in Vegas are VERY slippery, especially with a FWD car. The tires were $300 shipped on ebay and so far I have a little under 30,000 miles on them which is great for this tire. One track event which definitely effected the life as they are due for a replacement.
