Well I ended up having totally new strut units put on my Aveo today. I cant even push down on the front of the car,...it is SO firm now. I use to be able to push down on it and it would bounce back one time, not 'bouncy bouncy'. Well I cant even push down on the front end now, I almost put a dent in the hood and the bumpers, trying to see how firm it is. It is FIRM!
I am sure it will soften after a few days. And the VERY firm pulling to the let is gone. It drives perfectly straight. And feels like I am in my sisters 2014 Cruze now. Its THAT firm of a ride. It was $524 out the door, taxes and shop equipment, labor, and of course parts.
IF I had time to shop for the entire units myself, I am sure I could have gotten them much cheaper, at Rock Auto or someplace. But they had the car, and I am working, thankfully, everyday right now, so, i couldn't have them put it back together, get the parts, then have them put them on. And their warranty would not apply to the pars, only the labor, if that. The units were $149.99 each. Dont know if that is bad or not. I dont know the name of the maker. I can call them and ask I guess. But I am going to look online for the price of strut units, see if I paid a reasonable price or not. Well...thats that. So...tanks for the replies I got. They were just a little to late ,but I thank you for the advice.
