what size wheel are we talking about?
I got Nitto NT450s (P195/50R15 81V) some 99 Miata 15x7 rims and H&R springs and i'm fine... if any of this means anything...
we've got 205/40/17's
of course they dont raise the car at all, otherwise your speedo will be out.
dont get any scrubbing, but the car isn't lowered yet and this would also depend on the offset of the rim. these are very wide-spaced, and i think i've heard it scrub just slightly when close or on the bump-stop, but should still be fine even when lowered.
i just thought id let you know it does raise your car when you put 205/40/17's on, i measured it before..its about .5" to 1" taller....Originally Posted by asylum
...i am running 17x7's 42 offset with 205/40/17 and h&r lowering spring with 1.5" drop with no rubbing except on the side where my fender got bent in a little from an accident....
but i wouldnt get 17's tho, id get 16's if you can
17's should be fine..i wanna fill that wheel well right up with rim
if you want performance tho 17's are gonna decrease your car performance.
i am just telling u from personal experience..that i wanted to do the same thing u do but now i regret it
get 16" there big and they dont hinder performance.
RUNNING 16" HERE ....JUST CANT SEEM TO BREAK IN THE 120MPH BRACKET....
