      Wheels for Dummies

I have a 2007 Aveo5 LS. I want to get wheels for her but I don't know what size. Is there a way to tell by looking at them?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

      Aaron C.

What kind of wheels do you want? the oem 15 5 spoke or after market? after market ive seen all the way up to a 18 without modification. You have to look at Dia width offset. Cruise through the garage tab and see what the current members have on there already and adjust off that. Most people on here do 15-17 in wheels because its safe and easy. The most i would recomend is 16 its a good size wheel without making the car look like a monster truck at stock ride height. and you can use lowering springs and still use them without modification. With the front wheels sitting out a little further than the rear you can run a staggered setup. As far as offset most guys keep a 40+ offset and have no rubbing issues tho most ive seen is a 0 offset and it stuck out past the fender and i dont think he had them on there long. Just look around atyour options and go from there.

good luck and welcome to aveo forum

Excellent. I will try that. Thank You.

Update: I took my car to a tire shop and they said for Rims I should get a 14x6 +38 offset w/ 4x100 bolt pattern and I could use the tires I have on there now.

Size: 143.8 KB Here is my 2009 with 16's, still has a good ride and no extra work. I did give up some gas mileage with the wider tires but it will stop on a dime!
