I can get my hands on a killer deal of Spec V rims and tires.
Will they fit? I think they are 4x114.3 +47
No... our lug pattern is 4x100, not 4x114.3.... you would have to use some sort of adapter, and I've learned that those are not always safe.
yea adapters arent that safe so find something with a 4x100 bolt patern....plus they would sit in like crazy...i beleive stock of set is 45
ok so if stock is +45 and +47 brings the wheel in, then +42 moves out a bit? I'm all new to this mag thing.
the offset is fine, Aveos go from +42 to +48 no problem. I almost bought a set with +40 offset... i should have only $10!!!! The guy says the rims will fit any 4x pattern so I am going to get them. If they don't fit I am going to flip em on Craigslist.
hmm you know what they probably will now that i think of it...my 17" are 4x100 but there is another bolt pattern of 4 which i believe is the 4x114.3....the offset isnt going to help or look good and its going to bring the wheels in closer than stock which will be bad performance and looks wise....and yes ontarianfrog the smaller the number the farther out the offsetQuote:

Never mind I found out for myself.
As far as looks go I think that with a drop the tires will be tucked behind the fender/whell well nicely.
not with h&r's it wont
we've got 17x7 +40's and they JUST fit. no way you could go a wider offset or width
i kind of wish i had +40 because the back doesnt sit as flush as the front
you could actually probably go a slightly wider offset on the rear, as the front and rear tracks are slightly different.
the fronts on ours are very close to the guard, while still a fair amount of room on the rear
edit: the front track is 1450mm, while the rear is 1410, so the rears should tuck in about 2cm more than the fronts
Ebay Item number: 250061511551
Got laid off from the very place putting these up for auction, so I cant bid over $200. I was the Asst. Manager at QuikDrop Highlands Ranch. Took those pics myself...
15x7 99 Miata rims will work if you bore out the center hub a bit
90's VW 14" VW wheels?. :?:
the jetta/golf gl, gls, trek, tdi, and k2 should all fit. They're 4x100, but I can't recall the offset. I'll check the clearance once it gets warmer out.
The GLXs and GTis (anything with a vr6 in it) are a 5 lug, so don't bother looking.
I'm looking at the Konig Britelite or Feather, they are both very close to 15lbs and have a 40mm offset and are 16x7
The Motegi MR7's at 16x7 have a 42mm offset and weigh 20lbs a piece
Which offset will tuck the tires under in the wells better? or is it so close it doesn't matter?
tire will probably be 205/50/16
I have +40 offset on mine. Its a perfect fit(flush) for the fronts, the rear tucks a tad but thats just because of the bodylines. I would not go any lower than +40. Heres a pic

Looks nice, thanks for the pic Blade. Traklites huh? what size did you go with?
I'd still like to see someone run a set of stock Mini Coopers on our car. Has same pattern but I dont know the hub bore.
It's difficult to find rims I like. I really like the first one...any thoughts??? Is anyone running or knows of anyone running a 205/45/16?

Looks like I am going with the Konig Britelites (first picture) 16x7 and Kumho ESCTA ASX 205/45/16
***Britelites are backordered a couple two tree weeks, gonna have to wait for pics...maybe I'll have my rotors from R1 by then and it'll all go smoothly.
Anyone reading these posts or you are just sick and tired of talking rims and tires??? LOL
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller...Bueller...Bueller :?:
Looking into these:

With these wrapped on 'em.

Reason for it: I hit a pothole and it dented my rim 6 inches wide and lost all air pressure. :D AWESOME!
$520 shipped, mounted and balanced.
They are 38mm offset though- that means they'll be wider right? I would like a wider stance, but is this a bad thing to do?
you can go to http://www.rims-n-tires.com and they have a cool feature that you can input the dimentions from the stock rims and tires, and compare to what you want to run.
What about 17's is there a 5 spoke or 6 spoke rim that is 17 that will fit? i am thinking if you keep the tire diameter the same as stock so it don't mess up the Speedo and stuff
Ron mine are 205/45/16. They are Nex-O's 16x7.
As far as I know 17s are generally too big for the Aveo.
I believe 16s are best without modifications.
All depends on the rim itself really.
I've got 17's with H&R lowering springs and I've had no problems.
what Size Tire and what brand tire? please give Price to i want to do exhaust first the wheels and tiresQuote:

The local dealer is putting 18"s on some Aveos...that seems a little large especially around here, Western NY
I think some of the members here have tried 18's
Holy hell, 18's?
Must be some REAL low profile tires.
So my rims, tires, KYB shocks, and r1concept rotors are here. The H&R springs are on 6-8 week backorder.
Do I put everything on and do the springs when they get here, or wait and do it all at once? HA, you seriously think I am going to wait...LOL going on next week sometime, got to paint the calipers and drums this weekend.
Too cold to paint, have to do it as soon as the weather breaks.
I am getting some 14" wheels that have 185/65 14r tires on them. Is it ok to put my stock 185/60 14r tires on those wheels. Does the sidewall height really matter that much? And does anyone know how GM feels about new wheels as far as your warranty is concerned.
aren't 185/60/14 stock anyway? So the 65 series won't matter that much.
Yeah, the 185/60 14r are stock on our stock steel wheels. The new wheels im getting are stock integra 14 inch alloys with 185/65 14r. I want to put my stock rubber onto these new wheels, with a 5 percetn sidewall difference
The weather broke!!!Quote:
