October 13th OK Meeting Results

Well for a shortly planned meeting I think it went well. Me (Dan) Steve, and Mike all showed up with extra people (3 Aveos - 6 people). We took some pics, cooked lunch, and went for a cruise around Lansing. It was a little chilly and windy but overall not to bad. Unfortunently we did not get to see who had the fastest Aveo because I'm getting close to 60,000miles and need a timing belt change so we did not want to push the engine, and I was having a check engine light for multiple random cylinder misfires... go figure. yeh we figured out at the meet that there is a slight weight difference between the metal hood and a cf one but not too much of a difference to make any performance changes. but it looks good so....

i think it was whiteraven who had themfor sale at one point. anyways going back to the pics i noticed that all of our sedans at the meet had 5 spoke wheels lol. weird. but it all looks good!

eh thanx! they are just repainted silver 5 spokes that i got for a good deal. yeh its rice i know but, what you gonna do? as for the swap good luck! you will need it lol.

steve-if you dont mind, im prolly gonna end up copying you and getting that spoiler. i love how that looks on your car. did you buy yours painted? anyways it def. gives your car a clean look.

dan-im prolly gonna have to get those rotors-maybe. if nothin else they look really good. do you remember how much they cost ya?

and no i dont mind, I didnt come painted (it could have), but i wanted the dealer to do it just so its a perfect match, and i know the quality will be there.

They werent terribly expensive. Check out KVRs website, and get pads too

if memory serves me correct it was Neopol or Neopolitical.

Nostalgia.

The one thing I loved about this was that everybodies aveo was unique. Noone had the same setup, each had a unique part that was not easily had at the time. CF hood, brakes, spoiler, hids, I think steve had cams, it was awesome!
