Springfield Illinois Aveo Meet for summer 2014!

Hey everyone, I have been wanting to organize a meet for all of the Aveos in IL and anyone else who wants to come! I figured we could try and organize a meet for sometime this summer. Springfield or somewhere else in central IL would probably be the best place to have the meet. We could have a cookout and just show off all of the mods and other awesome things we have done to our cars! I think it would be awesome to have a meet and really get a ton of Aveo owners together to share stories and get ideas for their own cars and really get praise for their work!

I want to see a ton of people's Aveos out here!

Anyone interested, even just a little, should comment and let us know so we can make this thing happen!

I ll show up I just need a decent notice to request a day or 2 off. It would be good to know what hotel or motels are near by to the bbq. I love my aveo but do not want to sleep in it

Okay, so I have been doing some thinking and I think a weekend towards the end of June would be best so we have time to get as many people as possible. Any ideas on date and times along with where we could meet? I am open to suggestions and if someone has a big open field we can use, that'd be even better haha Here is a flyer that we could put under windshield wipers on Aveos in the wild lol it just needs a few more details and is standard 11x8.5 and is sized to print in landscape! We might even be able to get this event on the news or radio to get more people interested.

I thought of that lol Do you guys think we should just make it a compact car or just a car show to get more people? Many of the aveos I see aren't done up like ours, probably because they don't know of the aveoforum site lol But I'm good either way we do it!

I think the compact car meet would be cool, I know some friends that would be able to bring their cars along as well. Like you said, I'm having the same problem up here, not many of the Aveo's are done up. But hey, my buddies and I love food and good times, just talking to other car enthusiasts is fun as hell. Either way, keep this thread updated with the most recent info so I can start letting people know.
