Just stumbled upon this forum so I registered!
The Aveo is actually my wifes car but i'm seen in it so I thought i'd look around. Got tired of looking at Outback mods....
I'm in Auburn!
Although I haven't been on this forum long, welcome!
Happy Driving,
Kirk
I own a towing company in Bellingham. We buy scrap cars. I came across a 05 Aveo HB. The Timing Belt went and took everything out. I have a friend that has a machine shop and rebuilt the motor and I made it in to my daily driver.
Does anybody still really use this? Looking to meet up with a couple other drivers that want to talk cars and maybe do a few runs on Rainier. Alot of the tuners that I've ran into have sticks shoved so far up their asses they're not worth talking to or they have no idea what it is they're talking about.
Wouldn't mind trying to put a "team" together either if anyone is interested.
No one really hangs around here. Not like the old comrodery of the Spec V or XJ groups I belonged to. But if you are in Dupont, you might see my wife or myself commuting in the Aveo. Geez, it runs from Yelm to Tacoma 10 times per week. There are two types of car people. Those that like cars, and those that love cars. Like cars = arrogance, fads, heads up a$$, etc.... Love cars = know the benefits of every vehicle out there and always loves talking or working on their toys. All egos aside, I have to return to: know the difference of EVERY vehicle out there and the benefit.
And a year later... I'm in Skyway (South Seattle).
Just getting around to thinking about messing with this thing (if the money allows). Gonna tackle the timing belt this weekend.
Is any one here on the Kitsap peninsula?
