08 Aveo reverse neutral stuck

I replaced the clutch and slave cylinder. After I bled the clutch I started it and it ran fine but the wheels were spinning when it was off the ground I didn’t think it was a big deal, I lowered it off the jack stands and if I let the clutch out it stalls. I don’t know if the transmission is gone or what I took it back off popped off the back gear cover and the shift fork cover I can turn the input shaft and see the gears turning and I can manual engage them with a screw driver any help would be greatly appreciated

This problem is beyond pictures. If there wasn't a problem internally with the transmission before then the main things I can think of is you didn't put the shifter linkage back together right, and/or that the friction disc is backward.


If you didn't pull the transmission, you could test if you can shift gears with the car off and see if the reverse moves to being stuck in 1st, then stuck in 2nd, etc. That would most likely be a problem with the clutch assembled needing checked.

If the car was stuck in gear (you said reverse) but drivable, not stalling. Then it would be a linkage issue potentially.

With the transmission pulled.. you cannot do either.
