2006 Aveo Hatchback Latch

Anyone know the parts needed or have a diagram of the 2006 hatchback door and latch? When I pull on the handle, there is zero tension. Some connector piece must've busted inside. I have to fold the rear seat down, reach back and pull to release the hook from the inside and then push the hatch up and out to open it.

I've searched a number of combinations of words to try to find parts and/or a diagram for the 2006 hatchback latch with no luck. I'm only finding forums regarding the sedan trunk latch, and one site I found had parts but said they were for 2009-2011.
