If you are still under warranty I would be sooo pissed right now. If you have an 08< the car is only 4 years old, and you are under the mileage warranty. you should be able to drop the car off, get a rental and only have to pay for the gas and insurance for that rental car. It sucks how you sometimes have to be a jerk to get your way with the dealership, but thats what I would be doing, go in face to face and keep asking questions and talking to higher-ups until you get what you deserve. I asked my mechanic about your situation and he didnt give much help. he said it could be alot of different factors and would need to check out the car. I wish I could help more but im scratchin my head on this one.

jriggs87......it is still under warranty and I am getting more pissed as each day goes on. Thanks for the support and feedback. Your mechanic is right, it is a hair puller and it could be any number of things. At first I was a reasonable person with the dealership in Illinois and GM in Detroit, now I am a escalating to being a down right you are going to do this for me.

I hear ya, Ive been with my chevy dealership since I bought my car in 2004, my parents have bought from them since 1975, my father being a vietnam vet and me being in the marines for 5 years, lets just say when I asked them if this is how they treat loyal customers and their military customers and told them my parents and I will gladly go to Ford(giggle, not really) or honda across the street for our business, they were more than happy to give whatever our hearts desire. I would threaten to return the car and say you will take business elsewhere, threaten you can post a google review, etc... it just sucks, cuz most people are just doing what they are told and they become the middle man for your anger/frustration, but when it comes to your wife, do what is necessary.

Could it maybe be a fuel filter or a bad fuel pump? The only time I've ever had a car die on me was due to fuel pump death (it also had some major problems before hand though that I thought was spark plugs). The other weird experience I've had was a bad coil pack that was causing random loss of power but it never completely killed the car. A clogged cat possibly as well? I've seen fun things happen with those (glowing exhaust anyone?). This wasn't my G3 btw so it may not apply.

      Just throwing these out there.

jriggs87, you know, it shouldn't matter who you are or what you are. SERVICE after the SALE!!!! I told GM and my dealership that I would park it in the yard since I live on a city bus route and put a 4x8 sign next to it that says "GM AND LOCAL DEALERSHIP DOES NOT SUPPORT THEIR CUSTOMERS CALL XXX-XXX-XXXX. They didn't say anything.

Sidewinder, I really appreciate the help from you, but if I was to just start replacing parts, having parts tested I'd be broke....................hahahahahaha. Most mechanics now a days don't no how to diagnose a problem unless their is a code....................awwwwwwwww, the good ol' days of points and plugs..............lol

I definitely didn't mean to test them or replace them, just throwing a bit of my experience in there just in case it was helpful (it almost sounds like the fuel issues I was having awhile back). Either way though hopefully you figure it out and its nothing crazy!

Just for the record though fuel filters I've seen from $12 to $30 so they are cheap at least.

Sidewinder, you know, I have some time today, so, I am going to replace the fuel filter. GM called me Saturday 01-28-2012 after I told them what I thought of their Aveo a few days ago, so they are trying to keep me happy. They have a DISTRICT SPECIALIST going to call me Monday 01-30-2012. This ought to be interesting. Will keep you all informed
