      Airbag SDM location

Does anyone know where the airbag module (SDM) is located? Any photos or tips about accessing it are greatly appreciated.

They're usually in the dead center of the car. Look under the shifter console under the stereo. That's where 90% of them are.

Pull off the center console. It's right under the cup holder...are you planning on replacing it, and if so, how did you determine that it was defective? I've been chewing up the rug trying to find a scan tool that will pull body codes without having to declare bankruptcy afterwards.

      Does anyone have a recommendation?

I tried them a few weeks ago, but they advised after I gave them my VIN that their software currently will not give body codes for the Aveo.

Seems to me like I asked them about that...but I may have to ask someone else there about that again, just to be sure someone isn't leaving a stone unturned!
