I just replaced my alternator and found the procedure to be very easy, i was done in about two hours. You need your car up on blocks to do the job.
Step 1 renove the negative battery cable.
Step 2 unbolt air box and remove
Step 3, undo hose clamps on air hose and remove connector for intake air temp sensor.
Step 4, twist air hose up and out of the way.
Step 5, loosen top bolt of alternator
Step 6, from underneath start to loosen bottom bolt.
Step 7,there is a bracket in the way of the bolt on the bottom, so you need to remove the bottom 2 bolts loosen one of the top ones and remove one of the top ones. Wiggle it loose and swing it left towards the starter, i zip tied it in place to keep it out of the way.
Step 8, remove the top bolt.
Step 9, swing alternator down towards back of car, giving enough room to remove power lead going to battery.
Step 10,wiggle alt up and down working the bottom bolt free. You may have to hit the but end with a hammer or other blunt object.
Step 11, once free wiggle alt free of mounts.
Step 12, once alt is free, twist it so that the connector to the ecm is towards you, i used a large flat head screw driver to pop the clip up and removed the connector.
now here comes what may or may not be tricky, depending on if you have ac or not, i dont know if there is a difference as i do not have ac.
Step 13, work the alternator up and out through the top of the motor.
Now just do the opposite in reverse to get the new one in.
