      Alternator Replacement 2007 Aveo

I was doing a few google searches until I stumbled upon this Youtube video. I thought I would post it for anyone who would like to do a DIY alternator replacement on their Aveo. Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting this one - this has been discussed in a couple of prior threads, but no other vids that I'm aware of. Nice to see that the guy removes the alt and the large bracket as one unit, and how easy it is that way. Some of the folks in those other threads ran into problems by not removing the bracket along with the alt.

Yup, I remember one thread in particular where the poster tried removing it from the top and was unsuccessful. The Chilton manual isn't much help either. This hopefully will be the perfect guide for all 1st gen Aveo owners who will be attempting this replacement for the first time.

Yes, I saw this too! Fairly EZ to go this way. Easier on the pocket book to replace the IC regulator than buying a new alternator. Takes less than 15 minutes start to finish. It's on the outside, under the snap on black plastic cover.
