Backup Light Switch for 2004 Chevy Aveo

My backup lights don't work, had the problem diagnosed in the shop, they said it was the switch. I had
to order the switch and this will arrive tomorrow. Id like to replace the switch myself, the service tech told
me the switch was located on the transmission. Does anyone have the procedure for doing this ?
Pictures would be nice if included. I'm have a real hard time finding this on the web

I'm new to this forum, and I've searched for this in different threads, but could not find a clear description
of this. If this procedure has been post then please re-direct me.

Was it the brake light switch?

5-speed Manual Transmission.

backup lights(when in reverse). Nothing to do with brake lights.
