Hi from sunny South Africa, trying to get a CC installed on my 2011 1.6 Auto LS.
Best quote so far is $660 as they say they need to wire brakes, accelerator, gearbox etc??
You guys talk about joining 2 wires?
My wheel has the pop out slots on either side for fitting switch.
Does that price sound right?
Thanks

Hi Duncan,
I had a look at post #216 on the previous page. If your wiring is the same, it looks simple. However, like me in Aus, upside down and RHD, the car wiring may not be the same, you will have to do the research.
Oh, on the $660 quote, that is uneconomical considering the age of the car.
cheers George

Thanks George, one look at the diagram and I had to lie down to clear my head.
Next project is to buy lighter shoes for the gas pedal foot..:)

Try adding cruise to a smart car it's like $500 and it's not as easy to hook up or as responsive as the aveo one. This mod is the deal of the century.

Thud Slamrod, I realize this is an older topic but my harness has different colored wires than that discussed here and I just want to confirm which ones I should be using. My car is a 2008 Pontiac Wave hatchback so essentially the Canadian version of the aveo5. Can you or anyone else tell me which colored wires I need to tap into to add the cruise control switch? Thanks in advance.

Got it installed finally and just for anyone else that may be trying this mod still, it was the two green wires in my case. I made a diagram on this photo and it was pins 7 & 4 in my diagram. Works like a charm and was super simple to do.Attachment 11916
