I just opened the switch itself and this is how it looks like from the inside.

      I believe it may help.

As you said before, it seems it's a ground activated switch.
Pin 1 is for V_IN and pin 4 is Ground. No idea about pin 2 and 3. Guess one of them is light but don't know about the other one.

      1) turn on car
      2) measure voltage of each wire to ground, record the color and voltage
      3) turn on the lights and repeat each step, this should find the lighting circuit.
      4) turn off the lights
      5) if the wire measures zero to ground then that might be ground
      6) if the wire measures a positive voltage to ground that could be the signal.

Do you have a wiring schematic?
By any chance do you have wiring schematics for my car?

      Its 2011 Aveo

Correct me if im wrong: what you are advising me is to first find the ground wire, and then try every positive voltage wire till it works?

Do you have a wiring schematic?
I measured the connector above my accelerator pedal with the car running (I disconnected the connector from the female) and this were my results:

As you can see, noone was 0 volts. No ground on that connector?

      Any advise?

I read on another post that you could tap directly into the ECU. How would I do that?

      Is this the ECU?Name: IMG_20180208_160451.jpg

Is your car drive-by-wire or you have a throttle cable? If it is a cable system, how did you connected the throttle plate actuator? As far as I know, the only european drive-by-wire systems were 1,2 aveos.
