      Door Handle LED light install

I was wondering if it would be posible to install LEDs under your door handles and splice them into your Interiour light that goes on when you use the keyless entry so when you unlock the car the lights go on and then shut off when your interiour lights go out? do you think that is possible?

you should be able to if you can get the wires through somewhere, I dont think it is worth it myself (will take time to wire it up) what mods have you done so far?

I think that would be a very interesting mod. My ranger had a circuit as soon as you flipped the door handle, a light would light up the keyhole entry and handle. I really did like that feature.

Is there an interior light circuit to the door? Is there an always hot in the door? Considering the small amount of energy a single LED can draw, why not wire it up hot all the time. Have the LED just light up under the handle. As you are walking the parking lot you could see the car at night.

A more practical circuit (logical function) would be an Identify circuit. Push the "IDENT" button on the remote, the running lights and door handles light up. Low key and way cool.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

As I remember, there are two ways: 2-3 led on the back side of the or Led string.
LEDs are charged from safety system which have chanal with delay.

I never thought of this but im pretty good with circuits so it should be really easy. Take power from an always on in the dash, Put a timed relay in with the input being the door locks opening and run the wiring to the doors/ led strips. boom, press unlock, your door handles light up

I'd be interested in a How-To for this. I would LOVE to do this on my car.

      Thanks,
