Thanks didn't know NTK was original , that does help . Just have to look for (prewired to plug) NTK from a reputable seller .

As far as I know both upstream & downstream are the same . When I started this whole thing the ECU only said it needed the upstream sensor but stupid dad ( me ) figured I'd no it right and replace both with universals ; / ( threw both old O2's out ) , also I probably started the whole low temp fiasco by replacing the plastic OEM thermostat housing ( our other 04 Aveo with plastic housing blew up in Canada ) with the Dorman two piece metal housing thermostat with new ( but too low a temperature) thermostat . Live and hopefully learn . THANKS .

That's about what happened to me, I popped for a new metal housing, only to find a new trouble code. One step forward, two back lol

Many thanks to Petrified Rabbit & 06T200 for sticking with me on my Check engine light problem .

Like you guessed it was a very fussy ECU that wanted a few more degrees temperature , before this I NEVER would have thought 3-4 degrees would make a difference .

Also one by one the Universal O2 sensors failed ( 2 for $30 on ebay , I should have known better ) and I replaced them both with Genuine GM AC Delco O2 sensors .

No check engine light now so hopefully in a few days of the ECU recycling we can get it thru Emissions for another two years .

Thanks again . old n' slow
