      First Time Spark Plug Change

I recently bought a 2010 Hatch that has a 5 speed manual transmission with the plain , no fancy gadgets . I am needing to change the spark plugs but I do not have the specialty tools required to remove the coil pack from the spark plugs safely, Has anyone done this without the two tools that are apparently only available at Snap On ? Next question , is it possible to add a diy cruise control on my 2010 like was mentioned about having them done to 07 ? Has Anyone done this too a 2010 ?

A picture would go a long ways. It's must be a Torx Drive. You can buy those about any automotive parts store. The same with the security versions too.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

I have the Torx Drive already , I just don't have the two tools that are threaded at one end and have handles at the other end that look like a screw driver.

Thank you for the pics , I have researched the procedure . I am wondering if a guy could use two peaces of allthread to replace the two km-6009.

I suppose those 'tools' are just to thread into the removed bolt holes and help lift up. I just pulled straight up on the coil pack with my hands. (I also have a 2010.) I think the hardest part for me was sliding the cover over, and then I think I fiddled with the electrical connection for a couple minutes before figuring out how to remove it without breaking anything. I just used a torx bit on a ratchet.

2010 Cruise is SUPER simple. It's 2 wires. Just search on here. It'll be under one of the threads I've posted in.

I guess the answer is yes if it's the same thread. Like Ivy said, you can just use your hands. I think they have to tool there to keep the stress even. It's pretty damn hard just to pull one out.

I am sorry my link for ebay did not work. Here is the tool again:
Kent Moore KM 6009 Ignition Coil Remover Installer Set Pontiac G3 | eBay

I have a better suggestion. Once you figure out the thread pitch, just get two long bolts through one strip of wood. Then the wood is a handle to pull the entire assembly.

I have the KM-6009. Just measured the thread pitch at 1.25mm
