Yes there is a filter, though you do not need to change it unless you are having any gas issues or anything like that.

Is the fuel filter on the older models in the tank? I can't find the part anywhere, but haven't looked under the car. I assume it's "non servicable" and is in the tank on older aveos, can anyone confirm?

Maintenance intervals in which you change spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter will depend entirely on the country and its environment What's stated for USA-Canada will not be same for other parts of the world. Have read US Aveo service manual, thay state 10 thousand miles compared to our local 10 thousand kilometers, great difference.

Will depend if driving for long non stop distances, short distances, heavy trafic, environment pollution. Down here can get orifinal GM made in Korea kits as spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and oil filter for just $ 25.00, add $ 45 for 1 gal of good quality SAE 10W-30 oil + hand labor (about 2 hours) and for $ 70.00 fruit cost will have your Aveo running as hell.

A fuel pump will last longer and deliver better fuel flow to inyectors with a clean fuel filter than with a poluted or obstructed one. Are non serviceable unless you want to blow low compressed air backwards and use it bit longer...

      Happy Ride

      Cool, nice pictures.
      It's basically a remove/replace, unplug/plug like the
Do you need a bucket, fuel is going to come out when you unplug it?

is it the same for 2008 aveos?

I replaced my filter today, I managed to damage one of the clips in the process.

After removing the fuelpump relay the only fuel i had was what was inside the filter itself. i used a rag/cloth to catch the drips and tried not to get it everywhere. but it wont come spraying out unless you forget to remove the pressure in the fuel system.
