it's cause you're throttle body is open too far... close the adjustment screw some and it will go away...

also, I'm glad im not the only one with the weird sound with my cone filter intake. i've been freaked out since it started happening.

      thanks.
rain wont effect it if its open like dans, alot the goat intake is doing is tossing up cold, there is no suction on that tube from the filter so there for it wont suck water up....and if it does you have a problem and probably shouldnt be driving water that deep lol

awesome, I'll have to adjust that screw because that sound does get annoying after a bit.

I didn't think of the lack of suction, I'll have to give it a shot now.

      thank you!

      Re: GOAT air intake

2 days off from work in a row... 2 oil changes for me, 1 my car and my girlfriends civic, both will be fairly easy. I should definitely try this goat while I have the time to install it. Still haven't even tightened the throttle screw thingy.

      Re: GOAT air intake

okay, I FINALLY got around to doing this GOAT intake project of yours and I have some tips for any one else who wants to do this.

go to autozone and get this http://www.autozone.com/R,NONAPP1632/st ... Detail.htm

looks a bit more professional than duct tape and zip ties. it comes with 2 rubber parts couplers, put the wide part of one around the back of the honeycomb plastic thing, fit it REAL SNUG on there and the other, wide part above the hole below the filer. should stay snug for a while but I don't know long term yet.

DON'T ATTEMP WITHOUT A JACK!!! I did half of it without a jack and it sucked, ate up almost an hour longer than what was mentioned.

thats all I have for tips. I do have pix though!! lets have a look!
