Header Leak Fix.

So im pretty sure not many people are still getting headers from xiogary.
But i recently got mine and it just doesnt line up with the stock manifold gaskets.
Causing a pretty bad exhaust leak.
It turned out to be a pretty easy fix, after a few tries and a bit of unnecessary work.
If you drill out the bolt holes a bit higher, increacing the gap as you go left to right
until you end with about a 1/8" gap on the final one,
the gasket will hang just enough to cover the header and get rid of the leak.
I used the far left bolt hole as a pivot point so the rest of the gasket would remain mostly unmoved.

if the leak was on edge like that picture, did you set a straight edge on the surface of the manifold? it might have been damaged in shipping and been slightly bent.

But i believe the header also just blocked off that egr port? so it might not have been "meant" to use the egr style gasket (there might be another available over there.

Thanks for posting this though, future owners will benefit if it is a item quality issue.

The corner there actually may have been damaged a bit.
I remember thinking that while looking at it, but I doubt
That it was the sole contributor to the problem.
The port is not blocked off on the header and when lined up,
The gasket overlaps on the inside area, and
Also doesn't set a very wide edge on that corner.
So I was wary of just shaving it down.
This is taking much too long to explain though...
I still need to remove it one more time.
Ill be sure to post a picture or two.
