      How to adjust brake stiffness?

      Hi all,

      Somebody here knows how to adjust the brake stiffness? Its too stiff after the preventive maintenance.

      There really isn't a way to adjust brake stiffness. What I'm thinking you mean is the stiffness of the pedal? A properly functioning brake system should have a very solid pedal once the brakes engage. Congrats, your brakes are now working better than before.

      if you are talking about having a touchy pedal? when u barely touch the brake and they want to lock up and skid. then you adjusted your drums up to high this will fix itself in time due to the wearing of the rear shoes. if you cant deal with it then you can always drive like 40 miles an hour and slowly pull the e brake handle until you feel it start to engage and drive like that for a minute as the rear drums drag wearing some of the pads. this is something mechanics do all the time if they adjust the brakes to high as opposed to pulling the rear tires and removing the drums again

      Thanks guys for the response.

      Its like, i have to put extra effort for the brakes to fully grip.
