Question How to install these kind of daytime running lights??

      Hello,

Someone gave me that king of daytime running lights...

On my 2010 aveo, there are no drl, so, I'd like to install them, but, the wires make me sad, what should I do to connect them?

      Any ideas?

      Thanks for help!

      Patrick

There is drls on the 2010 aveo, but wiring in new lights is pretty straightforward. Red to power, black to ground.

      Lightbulb

^^^ that. I would wire them into your parking light circuit, pull your DRL fuse, and just turn on parking lights manually. That's the easiest way. If you want them to be true DRL lights, you could tap into any power source that's only on when the ignition is on (i.e. Cigarette lighter, almost anything to do with automatic transmission etc.) Or you could use a relay and wire into the parking brake switch, so when your parking brake is down, the lights come on.

All those would be good, but I would keep it simple and wire it into the parking circuit in case one goes bad or something and you need to remove them. Plus, I don't like having any lights that I can't manually turn off, except for the cluster, and even that can be completely dimmed.

I actually have some blue led "fog lights" wired into my headlight fuse, then to a toggle on the dash, because they aren't technically legal

The only thing blue I'd keep in front of my car would be the projector cut off.

Pickles> Thanks for answer but "There is drls on the 2010 aveo" is wrong... perhaps in others countries, but not in mine

Ayway, thanks guys for the answers, I'll try to do something.
I was thinking to take the 12v from the cd player but I can't find the way to put wires in the interior

I need to find that, I'll try to find that, the toggle is a good idea...

If I just want to wire them on lights, how should I do this exactly?

      Thanks!!

If you dont want to use a toggle you can connect the wires to a fuse under the hood, and have them always on, or wire to highbeam fuse so they come on with highbeams, or something like that. If you do want a toggle, and have a manual transmission, you could go through the rubber boot around the shifter linkage, just make sure the wires arent up against the headers
