How to perform a compression test?

Anyone kn ow how to perform a compression test. I have a compression test kit containing

Indicator Dial Gauge, Testing Tube and Spark Plug Hole Adapters.

plugger into a spark plug hole and turn car over for a couple of secs. you need to make sure you disable car from starting(main coil ) you need to repeat to test each cylinder.all cars are same, there are vids on youtube you could check out if your need to see procedure.if your cant find 1 or still not sure repost here and i will make copy out of my manual for you with instructions.

also, pull the Fuel Pump Relay so you don't flood the cylinders with fuel and fudge your Compression Numbers. also, you have to remove ALL of the Plugs from the Engine, or your numbers will be wrong in case the Head Gasket is blown between cylinders.

Don't forget to push the gas pedal all the way down. You don't want to build any vacuum in the intake. If you don't do this, you'll get consistently low readings.

+1 for holding throttle all the way open
also warm your engine up to operating temp then dismantle and preform as fast as you can for actuate readings

1.) Run car up to normal operating temperature and turn off
2.) Remove fuel pump relay
3.) Start car - it will quickly stall; crank it again to make sure the fuel is burned off
4.) Remove all the spark plugs
5.) Thread adapter into spark plug hole for cylinder you want to test and connect the gauge
6.) Crank engine until gauge stops going up (should only take a few revolutions)

Note: If your adapter does not have a check valve in the end you thread into the spark plug hole, you will need to do some volume calculations to determine what the adjusted compression reading should be.

Got mine installed. The line that came in was already shorter than the previous. So I am guessing they fixed the issue at the factory. Lot's of clearance now, and the steering has never run smoother.
