How to remove cv axle 05 manual

Trying to remove the drivers side cv axle, and have stripped the rotor screws. Have realized that lower ball joint must come out? Any advise would be great!

Are you certain there is a bad C/V (boot split open, or some other definite issue) ?

The caulking nut torque is over 200 ft lbs, so you'll need to have a torque wrench which goes 250 or higher.
Just drill out the 2 rotor screws - they're not needed anyway. I removed the ball joint and also the tie rod end from the knuckle. Might be able to do it with just the ball joint out, but with both removed it became very easy to move the knuckle/hub out of the way.
This tool is HIGHLY recommended for removing both of them:
GearWrench 3916 Universal Ball Joint Separator
