      How to remove the manual gear knob on my Aveo

      Anyone knows how to remove the shift knob on my Aveo (photo). I need to replace it with an after market oneName:  10th.jpg

      People already answered you in your other thread. It is not removable as far as we know.

      Noone here could helm me. So I took a risk to dissembled the whole unit and put the knob into boiling water so that the rubber knob becomes soft. Then I pulled it off quite easily. Here is the new shift knob I installed. Does it look better?Name:  IMG_1256.jpg

      it is glued on. does not have threads as other cars do

      Do you pop the white plastic piece off the bottom part of the shifter to take the whole knob out of the car? I've been wanting to do this to mine.
