      Question Installin AC?

I have a 2010 Chevy Aveo. It is a base model, no cruise, no AC, no power locks or windows. I have been reading through some threads on here and I am curious about a few things. I want to put AC in my Aveo. Can that be done? Also, I have read people talking about how theirs had the "option" to add AC. How do I tell if mine does? I know it's going to be pricey, but if it's possible, I would like to do it.

This thread is going to be VERY relevant to what you need for answers to get you started:

Your 2010, falls into the same category as the 2009 to 2011's. Check your glovebox, if one of the codes is "C66", then you already have brackets etc, ready for kit #96992824. Or you can piece it together like some guys. Happy hunting.

I THINK it's still possible to add a/c without the C66 code, but you'll need to scrounge up a few extra parts. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

A pic of where I mounted my switch, and a great video on which 2 wires you need to find are on page 8.

This seemed like the most convenient spot to look; as it seems the newest AC related thread. Is this how I would also check to see if a 2005 sedan is equipped for AC install? I'll be picking the vehicle up in October so I can't physically go check just yet.

I can't say for sure on a 2005 but on a 2010 the code is C66.If it has the option the car would have the condenser, the evaporator and the expansion valve already installed, the less obvious would be the wiring for the compressor and pressure sensor. If you read my posts you will see what you are in for.Don't expect any help from GM.
