Make your Aveo an Aveo Xtreme (SEMA 2003/04 Aveo show cars)

[Admin note: GM made two different "Aveo Xtreme" show cars. This 'Fritz-the-Katt Lime Green' one was shown at SEMA in November 2003. A slightly different yellow one was shown in 2004.]

For those of you that want to make your own Aveo Xtreme heres a parts list, below...

      GM's description:

      Make your own Aveo Xtreme:

Start off with a Versus Wide Body Kit from Gravana: $1,600
      http://www.gravanatuning.com/applica..._Aveo_Body_Kit

Next are the Rims and Tires: $789 from Custom wheels, car rims, truck rims, chrome rims, chrome wheels, discount tires
Akuma Wheels N-005 17x7.5 inch Black Offset FWD

Then Sparco Seats: $600 ea. I chose to upgrade to the adjustable seats for only $50 more. The original seats are the Fighter series
      Sparco USA

Now here is where the options come in.
      # In the 2003 Sema version there is a new fuel door. While it looks nice, its a pain to install.
      # If you have a stock spoiler you are good. If you need to get one they are $176 unpainted and $226 painted.
      # You can move the turn signals into the headlight housing in the empty spot (commonly used for city lights or strobes).
      # The 2003 version has clear taillights, whlie the next years had stock. You can make yours clear by popping them into the oven to soften the adhesive and pulling off the red lens.
      # You should upgrade and paint your brakes for a better match of the SEMA show car.
      # The SEMA car has a black mesh grill, galvanised metal and black plastic are the cheapest/easiest to find.
      # The Versus body kit does not come with side air scoops that cover up the small rear window, they don't do anything but add a little flaire.
      # Both versions have chrome racing pedals and a dead mans/ foot rest.
      # You may want to fiberglass over the cup holder to incorperate two new guages. Voltage and Air/Fuel, or anything you want really.
      # The second show car (yellow one) seems like the kit doesn't get as close to the ground as the year prior (green). That's because the green one is dropped.
      # In the Show Car the rear bench seat is removed and replaced with two more racing seats. The rear bench weighs a lot compared to two racing seats, so you can put the racing seats in and have a custom roll cage installed.
      # With a roll cage, marine speakers (mount onto the piping) would look good if done right.

Other Upgrades You might want (not seen in the SEMA photos)
      # CAI
      # Colored Silicone hoses and hose sleeves
      # Grounding Wires
      # Upgraded Spark Plus and Wires
      # Strut Bar
      # Engine Paint/Gloss
      # Neon/Strobe Lights (Tastefully done!)
