Rear Marker Bulb

2006 Aveo sedan, rear marker bulb needs replacement. how do i get to the bulb?

i can see it from under the bumper, but can't get up there to twist it out. does the lens pop off? in good ole' New Hampshire my car isn't passing an inspection until I get that bulb replaced.

I got this from the Canadian '04 Aveo owner's manual. Looks like it says you need to go from under the bumper. But I also read others using duct tape over the light and making a little handle in the duct tape, and pulling hard. At your own risk I suppose. I looked at a picture on ebay of a light assembly for sale. It looks like one side would pop off easier then the other.

With some determination, I was able to get up there and twist it with my fingers.

A move that would've pleased my wife for sure. :p
