remove automatic trans

Hi, need some help here. I have done quite a bit of research and am getting confused about the removal of the transmission on my 07 AVEO. Some say you have to remove the K frame and some say you can pull the trans out the wheel well. i do not want to create extra work for myself if i dont have to. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have yet to pull the trans on one, but with the mounts out of the way and half shafts out, I don't see why you couldn't drop it out the bottom. Assuming it is an auto.
