The engines are virtually identical. Probably some very minor differences.
alright thank you very much for the info. I got the wife a aveo from a used car lot and the salesman did not have any info on when or if the timing belt had ever been changed. So Im just going to go ahead and change it. I found a water pump, gasket, timing belt, and pulley on ebay for $161.00, (ill add an link) so im thinking on ordering it. I also got a new air filter, serp. belt, serp. belt tensioner assembly, plugs and wires, and a ignition coil pack to put on..... Is there any secrets or tricks that youre aware of for installing these items? thanks alot this fourm has been an major help.
here is the link to the ebay item i am thinking of purchasing if anyone has any info or thoughts on it it would be very apreciated. i do not want to put anything on the car that might not work well. thank you GATES TCKWP335 Chevy Aveo Wave Swift 1.6L L4 Timing Belt Kit w/Water Pump Set | eBay
