      Trouble finding parts

What is the trick to finding parts?

For instance.... I need a valve cover screw, a short one. On a 2009 chevy aveo.
And I changed the thermostat housing and a connector was broken and ruined.

I can't find the connector anywhere! It's the pipe that connects to the top of the housing seen in the picture below.

I don't want to run to the forums every time I can't find something. Is there a trick to researching parts?

Based on what you have circled, you need that whole part pictured. It's part of the housing assembly.

I need the hose that connects to that part. I changed that entire part and the hose connector is broken. I think I found the hose. But there is no picture for it. We'll see. But in the future, is there a trick to finding parts?

If you don't know what you're looking for, the site below has part diagrams {for some but not all systems). Then, once you ID the part(s), check Rockauto, Amazon, etc for lower prices.
