Unlocking the CD Player ('04 only)

Your code is supposed to come on a card that was given to you when you bought your car, but if you dont have it...

This worked on a 2004 with the CD/MP3 deck. I cannot verify that these codes will work in any other application. Others have reported success with these codes though.

1. Turn on CD Player
2. Enter the following codes one at a time until one works:

2253, 3116, 3451, 2152, 4362, 4316
4316, 4513, 4362, 1156, 2145, 1156
6451, 6361, 5624, 5241, 3346, 1165
3241, 4524, 5436, 5813, 3265, 5624
2453, 3462, 3251, 5445, 8253, 1156
2346, 4853, 6645, 5253, 1325, 4136
3116, 3221, 2151, 5312, 2654, 4314
6234, 4356, 1415, 1435

Mine unlocked on 2152.

Word is that this only works on '04s.

this is only on the 2004's they did not put this on any other Aveo's just the 2004's

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for posting those codes Chevy dealership wanted to charge me some ridiculous amount to "search" it for me(As if they don't have a book or a list with all of them right there). 6361 worked on my 05 LS. =D> Any way you rock

GM radios are equipted with a security feature that 'locks' the radio, essentially making it useless in the event it is stolen, so it cannot be used unless you have the code to 'unlock' it.
