I played with this a bit after reading that guide. It does make a noticeable difference, but you really need to drill yourself to the point of second nature or it is useless and even a little dangerous. There is a lot more time between shifts when you have to push and let of the clutch more often. Does anyone know a trick to lessen the amount of travel in the clutch pedal? If my pedal only left the floor half the distance it does now, that would make take offs and shifting a lot faster. as I would have less area to look for that point where the clutch grips as well as the tires. Using my foot instead of my leg. so on and so forth.

if your pressing the pedal all the way in, yours still not doing it right. the point to is slip the clutch, not press it in. you just want it to slip as you go out of gear, and the slip when you go into gear.

OK, I started practicing this process and it's not easy. I have a couple of questions.

Going up the gears, I don't see a need to double clutch there. I should just speed shift it quickly as possible. Is this a correct assumption?

Going down the gears, I do see the need to double clutch there. This is the place to double clutch, right?

In combination with Left Foot Braking, the Aveo pedal setup is too cramped. The brake needs to move over a little bit to the left. Now I know why race car drivers use skinny shoes.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

you don't double clutch shifting up as far as i know, you pull the car out of gear and then smack the clutch to put it in the next gear. I also don't know about braking during double clutching, i understand it is to downshift to pass, not downshift to slow down.

I have learned to double clutch back in the day, but it is not something i do.
