      2012 1.3 vcdi aveo knocking noise when I press clutch in -- SOLVED

      Any ideas what it could be

      I expect it is the dual mass flywheel, I have currently got a clunking sound when driving from the same region. I am going to find out if the Vauxhall Corsa dmf is the same as it seems alot cheaper to buy.

      FYI, received this response via e-mail from the original poster:

      I worked for chevrolet and a mechanic sorted it it was a nightmare to find but it turned out to be the wee valve that operates the turbo , warranty covered it and it took about 15-20seconds to replace , they also fitted a one way valve into the piping , it is now a recall I believe , also not sure if the 1.3vcdi aveo and corsa have a dual mass flywheel , I was told they didnt
