A bifuel car is not hybrid. It has only one engine but two fuels. Usually petrol+LPG or petrol+methane. Actually in Italy more than 10% of new cars are bifuel and only about 1% are hybrid. The reason is because a bifuel car is only 1500€ more expensive than the equivalent petrol and there is available a lot of car models with the bifuel version. LPG is much less expensive than petrol mainly due to low taxes.

also in Italy the aveo mkII bifuel lpg is very popular: the 96% of aveo (2008-2011) is bifuel!
