After one too many frustrations, it's time to let my Aveo go. I haven't had much luck with the Craigslist/ebay crowd, but I thought you wrenching enthusiasts might be interested. The Craigslist ad is here, and includes photos. Contact me here, or through Craigslist. Thanks for looking!
2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS
77,557 miles
5-speed manual transmission -- NEEDS CLUTCH WORK
Cruise control
Fog lights
Power windows, locks, sunroof
AM/FM/CD/Aux
New timing belt less than 10k ago
New front discs and pads last February
It has been parked in my office parking lot for a few month, and with the snow it's time for it to go before the maintenance guy gets too grumpy about plowing around it.
The clutch started slipping badly on my way to work one morning. Based on my research it looks like the clutch slave cylinder probably went out, and took the clutch with it. It seems like a competent DIYer could probably tackle it--I just don't have the space or time to attempt it.
It has a few small dents, a scrape behind the passenger's rear, and a few small spots of rust just starting.
The current tires are still snows from last winter. They didn't have enough meat to be worth trying to save for this winter, so I just left them on. You'd probably want to consider replacing them, but at least they are a small size and not terribly expensive.
